This presentation highlights how one school implemented a HRSA grant for disadvantaged students to prepare them for employment in behavioral health settings in medically underserved communities. Strategies for recruiting and supporting students from social, economic and environmentally disadvantaged backgrounds to be successful within their academic program will be shared.

Participants will learn how to recruit and support students from disadvantaged backgrounds to improve the student experience and academic performance
Participants will gain knowledge on how to provide enhanced learning opportunities for disadvantaged students on topics such as providing interprofessional and interdisciplinary integrated behavioral health in medically underserved communities in person and via telebehavioral health
Participants will gain knowledge on strategies and resources for career services for disadvantaged students
