This interactive workshop empowers participants to cultivate inclusive workplaces through the Design for Belonging framework. Attendees will identify barriers to belonging, engage in collaborative exercises to prototype solutions, and leave with actionable strategies and tools to build culturally responsive environments that prioritize equity and inclusion in social work practice.

At the end of this session, attendees should be able to:
Upon completion, the participant will be able to identify and analyze systemic barriers to belonging in professional settings, describe their impact on organizational outcomes, and assess how these barriers affect team performance, retention, and equity. Participants will also explore how to dismantle these barriers through inclusive leadership practices.
Upon completion, the participant will be able to design and refine equity-centered prototypes by engaging in collaborative feedback processes. Participants will apply the Design for Belonging framework to develop solutions for workplace challenges, iterating on prototypes through peer feedback, and assessing how they can be scaled for real-world impact.
Upon completion, the participant will be able to create actionable plans for implementing inclusive practices that foster belonging in professional settings. Participants will align their plans with disability justice principles, ensuring that strategies are sustainable, accessible, and culturally competent, ultimately creating more equitable and inclusive workplace environments.
