Dominique “Dom” Harris, MSW, LCSW (she/they), is the Assistant Program Director and adjunct instructor for the MSW@Denver program at the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work, Denver, CO. Dom is also a private practice owner and consultant where she supports adult individuals and couples and organizations seeking to transform their community impact through an expansive lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Her practice and research interests focus on anti-racism work, abolitionist perspectives in Social Work higher education, and retention efforts concerning historically marginalized social work students and faculty and subsequent field experiences, specifically around community and self-care and mutual aid. Further, she is interested in how educational instruction can be modified to support a diverse set of students with various needs for the inclusion and equity of future social work practitioners in the field. She teaches Human Behavior in the Social Environment, Disproportionality and Disparities Across Systems. Dom also serves as Board Co-Chair at Food to Power, a food equity and access nonprofit in Colorado Springs, CO.
