Dr. Laura Gale (she/her), EdD, LCSW is an Associate Professor of Teaching at the University of Southern California. Dr. Gale has been with USC since 2011, teaching both policy and clinical courses in the MSW program. Dr. Gale is the Faculty Advisor for the school’s Disability Access and Advocacy Student Affinity Group and is an invited member of the school’s Diversity Equity and Inclusion Advisory Board. Prior to USC, Dr. Gale was the Director of Program Administration for a child and adolescent mental health agency where she oversaw all daily operations and clinical services for children and families with special education needs and mental health conditions. Her research teaching and practice interests are in assistive technology and accessibility, Universal Design for Learning, and professional education in accessible teaching practices. Dr. Gale is a member of the International Association of Accessibility Professionals and holds the Postsecondary Credential in Universal Design for Learning from CAST.
