The Association of Baccalaureate Social Work Program Directors
Reverend Dr. Catherine Regina Gayle is a native of Savannah, GA. She attended Richard Arnold High School and the Upward Bound Program at Savannah State College now Savannah State University. Dr. Gayle obtained a Bachelor, Masters and Doctorate degrees at Tuskegee Institute now Tuskegee University, Florida State and Clark -Atlanta Universities-respectively. A Clinical Social Worker Licensed by the State of Georgia; Dr. Gayle has provided social services in various areas of the Social Work arena. She is a Masters Level Addiction Counselor and also a Licensed and Ordained Minister.
Dr. Gayle serves as President of The Association of Baccalaureate Social Work Program Directors (BPD). Currently, she serves on the National Association of Deans and Directors of social work board. Selected as a Fulbright-Hays Scholar, Dr. Gayle traveled to Accra, Ghana for a 30-day educational research project where she conducted research on Domestic Violence including a comparative analysis of the services offered in America and Ghana. She has also visited the continent of Africa on four separate occasions that included Nairobi, Kenya, South Africa, Ghana and the Burkina.
Dr. Gayl is also the Founder of Ambassadors for Christ Over the Earth Inc. (ACE ENTERPRISES). This is a faith-based initiative that provides Individual, Family and Group Counseling, workshops on Anger Management, Conflict Resolution, Domestic Violence, Gender Specific Topics, Divorce and Modules on Recovery. Dr. Gayle executes workshops via global venues. Presently, Dr. Gayle has a weekly broadcast on radio station WHNL 94.9 FM –Hinesville, Georgia entitled, “STEPPING OUT ON FAITH’’.
