Ahyun is a third-year PhD student in the School of Social Work at Loyola University Chicago. Her professional and research interests include child maltreatment, the foster care system, youth with disabilities, and the role of psychological self-sufficiency among youth and young adults in transition. She graduated from Emory University in 2014 with a B.A. in Economics and International Studies, earned an M.A. in Economics from New York University in 2017, then received an MPP from the University of Chicago and an MSW from Loyola University Chicago.
