Donna Marie D’Angelo-Simon, LBA, BCBA, LCSW, MSW, is studying in the Doctor of Social Work Program at Monmouth University, focusing on Human Rights and Social Justice. Her research interests include intellectual and developmental disability justice, developing social work education, and teaching effective modifications to incoming clinicians.
After completing her Master of Social Work (MSW) at Monmouth University in 2006 and a post-master certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) at Florida Institute of Technology in 2014, Donna’s almost 20-year career has spanned medical social work, mental health, school and home-based programming, consulting, agency policy, and academia. Donna founded a New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities-approved support network agency focused on possibilities for people with IDD and their families, siblings, and caretakers. Donna enjoys spending time with her children, dog, family, and friends, listening to music, or watching the stars because balance is necessary.
