Dr. Jeter is an assistant professor, researcher, and licensed social worker dedicated to advancing Black student mental health and academic success. Her research explores the intersection of mental health, educational persistence, and racial equity, with a focus on culturally responsive interventions, school social work, and familial and community support. Dr. Jeter leads a multi-million dollar grant training school social workers to serve Black youth from historically marginalized communities and serves on the boards of the National Center for School Mental Health and the Momentum Residency. Her work prioritizes community-engaged research that amplifies Black voices and challenges traditional approaches to mental health and education.
