Mr. Sarafat Hossain is a first-generation graduate student in the United States, holding a BSS and MSS in Sociology from Bangladesh and an MSSW from Hungary. His diverse socio-cultural academic journey led him to pursue further studies at the School of Social Work, University of Alabama. Driven by personal experiences in Bangladesh, where he witnessed the challenges faced by older adults and their caregivers, Mr. Hossain has dedicated his research and efforts to improving their well-being. His research interests include aging, health disparities, and health technology with a goal to employ technologies to ensure reasonable and equitable access to healthcare for older adults. He has actively contributed to studies on end-of-life and palliative care across different countries, mental health among older adults, and technology acceptance within aging populations. Mr. Hossain is committed to advancing research and practices that foster equitable and inclusive solutions for aging communities globally.
