This workshop explores barriers—including financial, cultural, and systemic challenges—faced by students of color, specifically Hispanics and African Americans. Social work educators must become knowledgeable about barriers, adopt cultural humility, and develop inclusive strategies to empower students of color, ensuring social justice and equity in higher education.

At the end of this session, attendees should be able to:

Upon completion, the participant will be able to identify barriers to educational attainment for Hispanics in higher education.
