We shares our experiences in advancing anti-racism in evangelical communities and advocating for the LGBTQ community within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS). Three themes were identified: cultural and theological entrenchment, the intersection of identity and faith, and structural barriers. Approaches to change have social work implications.
