In light of cancer-related health disparities, this study conducted qualitative research to explore Indigenous women’s perspectives on cervical cancer screening. It examined their knowledge, cultural understanding, attitudes, facilitators and barriers, as well as their educational needs related to cervical cancer and screening.

Participants will gain knowledge about the extent of cervical cancer screening, its barriers, and the educational needs of Indigenous women in the Northern Plains.
Participants will develop a deeper understanding of Indigenous women’s perspectives on cervical cancer screening.
Participants will explore culturally appropriate strategies to improve cervical cancer screening rates and reduce health disparities among Indigenous women.
