Literature examining gender minority stress experiences of transgender and nonbinary (TNB) persons of color (POC) focuses on these experiences one variable at a time. This study examines how multiple gender minority stressors (gender identity related discrimination, victimization, rejection, and non-affirmation) may be clustered among TNB POC living in the US.

Upon completion, the participant will be able to differentiate three subtypes of gender identity stress experiences among transgender and nonbinary persons of color.
Upon completion, the participant will be able to explain two strategies social work educators can use to educate students on the importance of recognizing the diversity of gender identity stress experiences among transgender and nonbinary persons of color.
Upon completion, the participant will be able to describe two ways in which social workers can support the gender affirmation needs of transgender and nonbinary persons of color.
