Social workers need to understand the needs of Vietnamese American women to provide culturally responsive treatments. This presentation details the findings from dissertation research exploring the psychosocial stressors and adaptation of Vietnamese American women in the 1.5 generation. Implications for social work education, clinical practice and policy are described.
