Adjunct Instructor

Phuongloan Vo, PhD, LISW-S is an adjunct instructor at University of Cincinnati School of Social Work and Smith College School for Social Work. She was a recipient of UC's Outstanding Adjunct Faculty Award in 2023. Her clinical and research interests include dynamic cross-cultural treatment, clinical social work education and training, lived experiences of immigrants and people with marginalized identities. She serves on the board of the Cincinnati Psychoanalytic Institute and A Picture's Worth, a Cincinnati non-profit advancing social justice through community participation and narratives. She also serves as an editorial peer reviewer for social work journals. With over 20 years experience in human services, she maintains a private practice providing supervision and psychosocial therapy for individuals and couples with mental health needs related to trauma, mood disorders, life transitions as well as experiences of marginalization and oppression.
