This session will explore the differences between graffiti and street art and their role in social work. Deborah, a graduate student at Tennessee State University with ten years of experience in Los Angeles' Downtown Art Scene, will share insights on using graffiti as a powerful tool for community engagement.

The session will highlight ways to partner with graffiti and street art movements to support community development, empower marginalized voices, challenge authority, promote social awareness, and foster programs for artists and their communities.
