Cultural humility, an important framework for social work, can develop from uncomfortable reflexivity and intersectionality to reframe identity assumptions and advocacy approach. Findings and considerations from a community-engaged reflexive thematic analysis exploring cultural humility in social work practice in a contextualized sample from primary health care teams will be presented

At the end of this session, attendees should be able to:

Upon completion, the participant will be able to describe how cultural humility is relevant to social work values and missions. Furthermore, how cultural humility can be relevant in primary health care teams to offer culturally safe and accessible care.
Upon completion, the participant will be able to give examples from the study about how cultural humility is incorporated by a contextualized sample and what barriers and enablers are present.
Upon completion, the participant can attribute the aspects of positionality, conceptual and theoretical frameworks to generate themes through reflexive thematic analysis (Braun & Clarke, 2019).
