Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination rates in the U.S. remain suboptimal. This study conducted individual interviews to explore HPV vaccine hesitancy among African American parents in a southeastern metropolitan city. The findings provide implications for social work practice for promoting HPV vaccination in African American communities by addressing parental vaccine hesitancy.
