In the face of ongoing health disparities, this study conducted a survey to assess help-seeking intentions for family with Alzheimer’s Disease and associated psychosocial factors, focusing on gender differences among American Indians to guide effective, culturally appropriate interventions aimed at improving awareness and knowledge about dementia, early assessment and treatment.

Upon completion, participants will increase their understanding about various psychosocial factors associated with help-seeking intentions for family with AD among AI populations.
Upon completion, participants will acquire knowledge of AD prevention and intervention strategies that pursue targeted, gender specific, culturally tailored approaches to address AD healthcare service use among AI adults.
Upon completion, participants will be able to demonstrate their understanding of the health disparities experienced by Indian country and will be equipped to identify strategies to reduce these disparities and enhance health outcomes and well-being of them.
