Little is known about how students understand anti-racism and anti-oppression, which are crucial features of social work. This study explored how social work students perceive anti-racist and anti-oppressive practice. After analyzing 57 student papers, preliminary thematic findings indicate that students struggled to define, explain and apply anti-racist and anti-oppressive practice.
