Mapping the Health Profile of Brazilian Immigrants in the United States: A Scoping Review

Brazilian immigrants in the U.S. face unique health challenges often overlooked in research and policy. This session presents findings from a scoping review mapping health outcomes and behaviors within this community. Attendees will explore key health disparities, sociocultural influences, and the need for culturally tailored healthcare interventions for Brazilian immigrants.

Learning Objectives:

At the end of this session, attendees should be able to:
  1. At the end of the session, participants will be able to identify common health conditions and health-related behaviors among Brazilian immigrants in the U.S.
  2. Participants will be able to analyze the impact of sociocultural and linguistic differences on healthcare access and health disparities within this population.
  3. Upon completion, participants will be able to evaluate the need for culturally tailored research and healthcare interventions to improve health outcomes for Brazilians and other Latinx immigrants in the U.S.
