This study explores the link between adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and disability severity in children of immigrant caregivers. Findings indicate that discrimination and cumulative ACEs increase the likelihood of moderate-to-severe disabilities, highlighting the need for targeted interventions to reduce health disparities and improve support for these children.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of this session, attendees should be able to:
Explore an association between ACEs and the severity of disabilities in children of immigrant caregivers.
Assess how ACEs influence disability severity while adjusting for other confounding factors in children of immigrant caregivers.
Generate new insights on ACEs in children with disabilities using a nationally representative sample of immigrants.
