I earned a Ph.D. at University of Bonn, Germany, in Development Studies; in 2010, an M. Phil. in 2004 at IIT Bombay, India in Planning and Development; in 2002, an MSW at TISS Mumbai, India and in 2001 I earned a B.A. at JNU in New Delhi. From 2013 - 2023 I was an Assistant Professor, IIT Indore, India. I worked in the department of sociology, conducting research and teaching introductory courses to undergraduate and graduate students. From 2010-2012 I was a Postdoc Researcher at University of Amsterdam, where I conducted research and taught courses in the area of international development. I am currently enrolled as a PhD student in the School of Social Work, Loyola University, Chicago. My research interests are in the field of mental health and mindfulness and community-based participatory research.
