Camille Matthews, LCSW-S, is a licensed clinical social worker and board-approved supervisor with extensive experience across multiple sectors, including healthcare, behavioral health, secondary education, child welfare, mental health, and higher education. Currently, Camille is pursuing a PhD in Health Sciences with a concentration in Social Work at Texas Christian University (TCU), where she also serves as an adjunct professor in the Department of Social Work. Camille earned her BSW from the University of North Texas (Denton) and her MSW from Texas A&M University-Commerce (Commerce, TX). While serving in secondary education, she has organized impactful community initiatives such as Back to School Fairs, Rachel’s Challenge events, and training programs for school districts serving families experiencing homelessness. Her clinical and academic work focuses on perinatal mental health, maternal health, women’s issues, trauma, and intimate partner violence. In recognition of her service to the community, she was awarded the 2025 Social Worker of the Year by the North Central Texas Fort Worth Area Branch in March of this year. Camille also serves on the TCU Community Advisory Committee. Additionally, Camille contributes to local communities as a board member for two nonprofit organizations. Throughout her career, Camille has demonstrated a deep commitment to supporting individuals, families, and communities in navigating complex social challenges, while advocating for social justice and the advancement of marginalized voices in both practice and research.
