Merrick holds a BA in Anthropology from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, an MA in Women’s and Gender Studies from the University of South Florida, and an MSW from the University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Social Work. Merrick is a clinical social worker and psychotehrapist working at the intersections of trans liberation and disability justice. He is a PhD student at University of Maryland Baltimore School of Social Work where he works as a Graduate Research Assistant. Merrick has extensive experience providing neurodivergent affirming and queer and trans affirming psychotherapy, and believes in the healing potential of community, mutual aid, and solidarity.
