Penny McQuinn is a lecturer and field director at SUNY Plattsburgh, where she designs and delivers social work curriculum across various platforms. With a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) from the University at Albany and a B.A. in Psychology from Southern Wesleyan University, she combines her extensive academic and clinical experience to support student success. Penny is committed to advising, mentoring, and fostering partnerships with practicum sites to ensure students gain practical, hands-on experience.
Penny’s clinical expertise spans diverse roles, including clinical supervisor in community mental health, licensed clinical social worker in hospital settings, and program director for county-wide youth and family initiatives. She has worked with a range of populations, providing psychotherapy and treatment planning for individuals, couples, and families, particularly those facing mental health and chronic illness challenges.
