Kari Alberque, PhD, MSW, is a social work educator and practitioner specializing in intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), inclusive education, and multilevel systems change. Drawing on her background in special education, she brings expertise in Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to her teaching and scholarship in social work, emphasizing accessible and equitable approaches across systems. Her work highlights the intersections of research, practice, and lived experience, focusing on how families and schools can collaborate to create inclusive opportunities for children with disabilities. As a neurodivergent scholar and parent of a child with an intellectual disability, Kari brings both professional and personal insight to advancing belonging and justice.
