Dr. Kaiser has been a faculty member at Ohio State University since 2012. She is a community-engaged researcher who studies community food security, community-supported agriculture, and place-based strategies to address interrelated social, economic, and environmental injustices. She is currently exploring investigating how ecotherapeutic activities can provide residents with deeper connection to themselves, each other, their community, and the broader natural world. Kaiser appreciates collaborative processes that begin with the community voices and honors lived and living experiences in her research and teaching. She has been involved in many interdisciplinary, community-university, and cross-institutional research and outreach programs. She generally teaches macro-oriented courses and utilizes experiential and community-engaged pedagogies.
