Salam Makram is a BSW student at Providence College in her Junior year. She is currently a social work intern at Pleasant View Elementary in Providence, RI, where she shadows a school social worker and provides psychosocial support for children in alternative education programs. In the summer of 2024, she worked as a Research Assistant on a community-based project examining the mental health outcomes of unaccompanied children resettled in Rhode Island.
