Dr. Eveline Ndii Kalomo is an Associate Professor at Chamberlain University. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Namibia and a Master of Arts in International Child Welfare from the University of East Anglia in the United Kingdom. She received her PhD and MSW (Clinical Track) in Social Work from the University of Minnesota School of Social Work. In her 20+ years as a social worker, Dr. Kalomo has been a caseworker and community advocate in child welfare.
She has extensive international experience as a researcher and social work educator. Early in her career, she held a faculty position at the University of Namibia, Department of Social Work. She taught and developed a variety of courses in the undergraduate program. She also taught and supervised the Practicum of undergraduate students. It is also during this time that she took a keen research interest in working with underserved families and communities impacted by the HIV pandemic in rural Namibia. Her scholarly work has morphed into examining the intersections of public health (i.e., HIV); social determinants of health and mental health among vulnerable populations living with HIV, including adolescents, older adults, women, and prison offenders.
Dr. Kalomo has over 17 peer-reviewed publications and scholarly presentations and has received grant funding for several projects.
