Sahar Badiezadeh is a Ph.D. candidate in Global Governance and Human Security at the University of Massachusetts Boston. Her interdisciplinary research explores the lived experiences of immigrants and refugees, with a focus on how forced migration and immigration policies influence well-being. She also examines the migration-education nexus, social determinants of health, and the human dimensions of global environmental change.
Sahar has held research roles with the Massachusetts State Senate and the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy (MIRA) Coalition.
She is also a trained mediator and has contributed to projects related to refugee integration, disaster equity, and migration governance. With a growing portfolio of peer-reviewed publications, her work reflects a strong commitment to advancing equity in migration policy and practice.
