Mohit Prodhan is a first-generation doctoral candidate in Social Work at Stephen F. Austin State University (The University of Texas System), with extensive teaching experience and a strong background in nonprofit and academic leadership. His research focuses on humanity practice, spirituality, eco-social work, technology in social work, and community development. He is a member of the CSWE EPAS 2022 Disaster Relief Curriculum Guide Taskforce, CSWE’s Council on Racial, Ethnic, and Cultural Diversity (CRECD), NASW’s Social and Economic Justice & Peace Specialty Practice Section, and is the Founding Co-Chair of the NASW Texas Chapter Eco-Social Work Committee. Mohit is also the founding president of the Doctoral Student Organization of Social Workers at SFASU, a board member of the Texas Evaluation Network (TEN). Additionally, he serves on the Community Leadership Council, Nacogdoches, with the Baylor Collaborative on Hunger and Poverty at Baylor University. He is an assistant editor of the Journal for Social Work Scholar-Practitioners (JSWSP) at SFASU. In 2024, he received two awards: the Outstanding Doctoral Student in Social Work Award and the Lumberjack Leadership Achievement Award in recognition of my leadership and service.
