Stephen F. Austin State University (The University of Texas System)
I am a first-generation college student and doctoral candidate in social work at Stephen F. Austin State University (The University of Texas System), with several years of teaching experience and a strong background in nonprofit and academic leadership. My research and teaching interests include humanity practice, spirituality, eco-social work, artificial intelligence in social work, and rural community development—areas I integrate into inclusive, student-centered pedagogy and community-engaged scholarship. I currently serve as a member of CSWE’s Council on Racial, Ethnic, and Cultural Diversity (CRECD), and SPS- Social and Economic Justice & Peace, NASW; Founding Co-Chair of the NASW Texas Eco-Social Work Committee, President of the Doctoral Student Organization of Social Workers (DSOSW), and board member of the Texas Evaluation Network and 21/7 Association. I also serve on the Community Leadership Council with the Baylor Collaborative on Hunger and Poverty, Baylor University. Let’s connect and collaborate on advancing equity, innovation, and sustainability in social work education.
