Shirin Sultana, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor at the State University of New York (SUN) Brockport Department of Social Work. Dr. Sultana’s research focuses on mental health and wellbeing issue areas, particularly how venerable population (i.e., immigrants, refugees, and children/adlolescents at risk) utilize social support to cope with their mental health challenges and enhance their wellbeing. Dr. Sultana continues to publish in high impact journals including Journal of Social Work Education, Child Abuse and Neglect, Childhood, and Children and Youth Services Review, and present at peer-review conferences both nationally and internationally.
