Program Director / Chair
Oglala Lakota College
I graduated with my Bachelor's of Social Work from Oglala Lakota College in 2015, and was the recipient of numerous awards including the Dean's and President's List, perfect attendance, American Indian College Fund's Student of the Year, and the Gerald One Feather award.
After undergraduate school, I continued on to my Master's Degree of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis at the Brown School of Social Work. During graduate school, I concentrated in mental health, specifically, assessing, diagnosing, and treating mental and behavioral disorders. I also specialized in leadership, management, and organizations at Washington University.
After graduate school, I worked in St. Louis for some time as a part-time clinician and eventually received a phone call from an old instructor at Oglala Lakota College. During the call, the instructor stated that they would be leaving the college shortly and asked if I would return to take their position. I applied to Oglala Lakota College as a full-time social work faculty and was eventually offered the position. I am currently the Chair, Program Director, and Field Director at Oglala Lakota College. In 2022, I graduated from the University of St. Thomas, in St. Paul, MN with a Doctorate in Social Work. My dissertation and research focused on Indigenous judicial systems, specifically restorative justice.
