Kya is an enrolled member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina in the MD/MPH program at Tulane University. She completed her undergraduate education in Biology and Human Development at Duke University in 2021. Her aspirations include using her medical and public health education to advocate for holistic health equity for Native American youth and their families.
