Christina Dadswell (LMSW) is the assistant director of the Office of Field Education and a full-time faculty member at the University of Michigan School of Social Work. Dadswell is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and educator with over 15 years of experience as a clinician serving children, adults and families. Her direct practice experience has been driven by her commitment to advocating for underserved clients who experience trauma, barriers to treatment access, or barriers related to accessibility, and she brings this experience to her role as an educator. She has held the following certifications: Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS), Certified Advanced Social Work Case Manager (C-ASWCM), and Cognitive Behavior Therapy specialization (CBT). She is a disability advocate for accessibility and inclusion in all spaces. Dadswell is a member of the U-M Concussion Center, and also co-leads the Trauma-Informed Programs and Practices for Schools (TIPPS) Scholars Program at the School of Social Work. Areas of research and teaching interest include anxiety/trauma, child/youth development, child-centered play therapy, trauma-informed practices in schools, CBT, disability/neurodiversity, and concussion/traumatic brain injury.
