Ashley Butler is a dedicated social worker with extensive experience in trauma and crisis services. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Rutgers University and her Master of Social Work from Adelphi University, where she was recognized with the Rita Paprin Memorial Award. During her graduate studies, Ashley served as an academic tutor and graduate research assistant. With a strong background in non-profit program management, Ashley has successfully overseen multidisciplinary programs supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Her leadership extends to supervising social work staff and providing strategic guidance in service delivery.
Ashley’s passion lies in advocating for underserved communities, particularly in addressing systemic service barriers, and enhancing wraparound support for survivors. She also serves on the New York State Social Work Education Association and mentors future social workers through clinical supervision and internship guidance.
Currently pursuing her PhD in Social Work at Adelphi University, Ashley’s research focuses on gender-based violence, systemic failures in the legal system, and improving services for marginalized populations. Her work aims to bridge gaps between research, policy, and practice creating lasting changes in social service organizations.
