Kassandra Sofferman (she/her) is a dedicated advocate, researcher, and social work professional committed to disability rights, child welfare reform, and equitable policy initiatives. Currently pursuing a Master of Social Work at the University of North Dakota, she focuses on accessibility, inclusion, and systemic barriers within child welfare.
Kassandra works with The Arc Minnesota’s West Central Region Quality Council, advocating for disability rights and inclusive policies. Her research explores biases in child welfare assessments for parents with disabilities, aiming to inform policy reforms. She has also led community initiatives, including a voting rights training series for people with disabilities and the Inclusive Moorhead project, promoting accessible community engagement.
Passionate about social justice and policy change, Kassandra continues to work at the intersection of research, advocacy, and direct community impact.
