Arianna Weide MSW, LCSW, is a first-year Ph.D. student at the Arizona State University School of Social Work. Arianna works as a project coordinator at ASU’s Office of Sex Trafficking Intervention and Research (STIR).
Arianna Weide holds a Master of Social Work from Arizona State University and a Bachelor’s in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Addiction Treatment Services from University of Nevada Reno. Arianna received her LCSW in 2023, and has worked with a multitude of populations such as children, adolescents, and adults in schools, residential, and outpatient treatment settings. In her role as a therapist Arianna focused on issues such as substance abuse, sexual exploitation, gender identity, and trauma.
Arianna’s research interests include sexual violence, trauma recovery, and survivor-centered interventions. Her research interests aim to identify prevention and intervention strategies that minimize re-traumatization among sexual assault survivors, particularly in their interactions with law enforcement.
