As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida, NaKita specializes in guiding clients through the intricate journey of perinatal mental health, trauma recovery, chronic or long-term medical conditions, and personal growth. Recognizing the profound impact of pregnancy, childbirth, and early parenthood on mental health, NaKita has devoted significant focus to perinatal mental health. As a Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C) professional, she expertly addresses a range of concerns including infertility, birth trauma, anxiety, depression, pregnancy/infant loss, and postpartum adjustment. Her practice extends beyond traditional therapy, offering birth doula and yoga therapy services to provide holistic support throughout the birthing process. Drawing from her ten-year service in the Florida Army National Guard, including five years as a Behavioral Health Specialist, NaKita brings a unique perspective to her work with veterans and military families. This experience, combined with her background in school social work and homelessness education, informs her holistic approach to mental health care.NaKita is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of mental health professionals.
