Dr. Sharlene Allen-Milton, LCSW-C, is a first generation, Afro-Caribbean American scholar, educator, and licensed clinical social worker from the Bronx, NYC. She serves as an Associate Professor at Morgan State University, where she leads the School Social Work Area of Specialization. Deeply committed to developing the next generation of urban social work leaders, Dr. Allen-Milton bridges academia and practice through teaching, mentoring, and experiential learning environments.
With over 18 years of experience supporting individuals facing emotional and psychological challenges, she specializes in mental wellness for women of color. Her work focuses on helping high-achieving professional women—especially mothers and caregivers—cultivate work-life balance and soul-level healing.
Dr. Allen-Milton is the author of Honoring the WHOLE You: Everyday Work-Life Management Strategies for Professional Moms and Caregivers and several peer-reviewed publications that elevate the conversation on emotional resilience.
As a Mental Wellness and Work-Life Management Solutionist, she equips women to prioritize their well-being while managing life’s many demands. Her guiding motto is: “To educate, equip, and support people to their place of freedom.”
When she’s not teaching, she’s joyfully fulfilling her greatest roles as a wife and mother.
