Jordyn L. Hagar, PhD, LICSW, is an Assistant Professor of Social Work at Providence College. She holds a BA in Sociology from Dartmouth College, an MSW from Fordham University, and a PhD in Social Work from Simmons University. Her research focuses on individual, organizational, and systemic change to promote social justice and equity, primarily regarding the social determinants of health and mental health. She is particularly interested in issues of access and alternative service delivery models for mental health care from an interdisciplinary perspective. Dr. Hagar engages in qualitative and mixed-methods research as well as community-engaged program development and evaluation. Dr. Hagar’s program development and research interests stem from 15 years of clinical social work experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, and families, supervising clinicians, and delivering trainings to educators, mental health professionals, and other community organizations.
