Graduate Research Assistant

Amar Woodrow is currently a graduate student at the School of Social Work, where I also serve as a graduate research assistant. He also is an intern at the Morse Clinic of Durham. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminology from NC State University in 2024. During this time he also interned at Haven House services during street outreach and helping connect people ages 18-24 and doing case management for them helping them secure stable homes and jobs. He currently works full-time at Wrenn House as a Youth care specialist where he works with providing respite and other services to youth ages 10-17. As a first-year traditional student in the MSW program, Amar hopes to further develop as an individual and researcher and contribute and further develop skills as a social justice advocate as he builds and fosters relationships with people and environments.
