Associate Provost, and Associate Professor of Social Work

Dr. Beth O'Neill is a passionate and strategic higher education leader and social work scholar, currently serving as Associate Provost for Curricula and Program Innovation, and Associate Professor of Social Work, at Washburn University in Topeka, KS. She received her BSW from Nebraska Wesleyan University, MSW from University of Missouri-Kansas City, and Ph.D. from the University of Kansas School of Social Welfare. Her research and teaching are informed by her social work practice experience with child welfare-involved families, individuals affected by HIV/AIDS, and hospital social work, as well as her service on community Boards of Directors. Dr. O'Neill has experience partnering with community organizations to complete program evaluations, and her research has primarily focused on relationships between body image and health and the integration of physical and mental health.
