Ishita Kapur (she/her/hers) is a third-year PhD Social Work student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Her research interests include harnessing artificial intelligence (AI) for revolutionizing social work education and improving service outcomes for marginalized groups in society. Her recent research explores the perceived impacts of AI on the social work profession and education. Studying the mental health of youth and adolescents is her primary area of research interest. She aims to examine youth mental health in the context of adverse childhood experiences, parental relationships, and the current increasing social media use by youth groups.
