Simmons University
Robin Ennis, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Self Advocate in Colorado brings a unique perspective to her work as she navigates the intersectionality of being an African American female practitioner with a disability. Her experiences of living in both the sighted and blind worlds at different stages of life have shaped her approach to helping others cope with adjustments and transitions. Despite facing visible marginalization, Robin uses her positionality as a therapist with advanced education to advocate for marginalized communities and provide competent care. She remains critically conscious and reflective in her practice, recognizing the power dynamics at play and striving to bridge the gap for those seeking mental health support. Robin is a current D.S.W. student at Simmons University.
