Wendy Lum, MSW, M.Ed. is Director of the Social Work Workforce Development Hub in the Department of Social Work, at the Thompson School of Social Work & Public Health, University of Hawaii at Mānoa (UH Mānoa). Before her focus on social work workforce development, Wendy served as a Field Education Coordinator for six years. In this role, she taught and mentored social work students and helped establish, coordinate, and sustain community partnerships to support social work field education and practicum placements. She received her MSW in Macro Social Work from George Mason University and her undergraduate degree from the University of Mary Washington. Her areas of research and social work practice include immigrant and refugee rights, student basic needs and food insecurity, workforce development, and global social work.
