Hillary Vervalin, MSW, LCSW (she/her), is a Ph.D. student at the Colorado State University School of Social Work. Her research focuses on identifying, conceptualizing, and treating incarceration-based trauma in young adults, and engaging policy and systemic efforts to reduce system-based harm. Hillary has ten years of experience working as a forensic social worker on criminal defense teams, assessing, supporting, and advocating for individuals charged with serious crimes.
