Cynthia Franklin, PhD, LCSW-S, LMFT is Stiernberg/Spencer Family Professor in Mental Health at The Steve Hicks School of Social Work at the University of Texas at Austin and Courtesy Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Dell Medical School. She is an international expert on the evidence-based brief mental health intervention, solution focused brief therapy (SFBT) in the contexts of schools. Cynthia Franklin is one of the principal researchers on the outcomes of SFBT and has taught SFBT across the globe. She is developer and consultant to the solution-focused, Garza Independence High School in Austin, Texas.
