Nataliia Gusak, PhD, MSW, is an Associate Professor at the University of Alaska Anchorage School of Social Work. Her research focuses on developing community-based social and mental health services for individuals affected by displacement, motherhood, human trafficking, and military service, including refugees, ethnic minorities, and veterans. She examines how marginalization limits access to care and uses theory of change, mixed methods, and participatory approaches to design effective interventions. Since 2008, she has consulted with international agencies, including the UN and IOM, on anti-trafficking and human rights initiatives.
